Description
A clear plastic flame sculpture is in the middle of a white room, lit by fire, with pink/purple colors on the walls and behind. To the left of the sculpture is a photographic work. To the right of the sculpture is a moving image projected on the wall.
Death has always been a topic people tend to avoid discussing. But we will face it eventually. I don't see death as the end of life but rather as a change in the mode of communication. As in the movie "Coco" where it's said, "The real death is that no one in the world remembers you." Any life can exist in our consciousness, but true death occurs when they are no longer remembered or mentioned. Therefore, accepting the death of loved ones can be understood as adapting to a new form of communication. In this artwork, I convey the concept that death is not the end of life by showcasing how I commemorate my loved ones, encouraging viewers to confront and accept death.

In this work, I created a flame-shaped sculpture and used red light to project it onto a transparent plastic sculpture. The sculpture's shadow was refracted onto the wall, creating the illusion of burning. The sculpture represents reality and the world of the living, while the dynamic image projected by the projector on the right side of the sculpture represents the virtual world - the world in my consciousness where the deceased exist. I expressed in performance art that these two worlds can communicate and interact with each other. On the left side of the sculpture are my performance art works, which I exhibited in the form of photographs.
