After the Copland Show in Unit 2, I wanted to add more interaction with the audience. So in the Unit 3 proposal, I will replace the moving image part of the Unit 2 "It's the End and It's the Beginning" work with live camera images.
Live Camera

Initially, I experimented with old photographs, making them gradually disappear. Eventually, I used TouchDesigner to apply a blur filter effect to the real-time camera, causing the image to fade away frame by frame. I also adjusted the colors so that when the audience stands before the camera, each moment is briefly frozen before vanishing on the screen. Through this, I aim to evoke a sense of time passing and subtly remind viewers of mortality. However, I realized this approach might be too abstract and may not effectively convey the concept of death. During a tutorial with Max and Zaiba, they expressed similar concerns. They suggested that I continue developing the theme from Unit 2, focusing on commemorating my family and conveying personal emotions. After reflecting on their feedback, I agreed with their perspective.

After re-determining the direction, I decided to continue the combination of sculpture and projection lighting in unit 2. I readjusted the placement and increased the size of the sculpture. I raised the position of the sculpture. The whole thing is more like a tombstone, so that the audience can more easily associate it with the theme of death and commemoration. In the process of development, I want to add performance art content to my work. I need a concrete picture to convey to the audience that death has only changed the way two people communicate. So I took photos of the performance art to show it.
